We are proud to announce that Mender has entered the league of the most prestigious and ambitious projects in Europe through the award of a phase 2 SME project under the Horizon 2020 project. The SME program supports “high-risk, high-potential SMEs to develop and bring to market new products, services and business models that could drive economic growth”. The grant, which is up to EUR 2 100 000, will enable rapid acceleration of our product development.
The SME grants are given to products with the highest innovation potential. In addition to that, the product must meet a pressing need in the EU and global market. Finally, the team behind the product must be world-class. All of this gives us more than one reason to be proud of ourselves.
Mender.io has, since its inception in February 2017, achieved tremendous growth and is already helping hundreds of companies make certain their connected devices stay secure and up to date. As the number of new connected devices grows in the billions, the importance of a secure and robust end-to-end over-the-air (OTA) software update solution like Mender becomes ever more paramount. Thanks to the EU and our beloved users: expect a lot of new & exciting updates from us!
